Do you think I was a bit keen over the conference... my account is in suspension for "suspicious activity"? they did this the other week and it was a mass mistake (human error/new staff, etc.), wonder if it's that again, or real this time!?

wondered where you'd gone

They have been having hacking issues too, hope they sort it out soon... my twitter feed is distinctly empty by comparison :)

Wonder what constitutes "suspicious activity"? Too many tweets per hour?

I went to follow you and couldn't, but not sure I want to be known as someone who follows suspicious people!

Maybe Twitter thought you were gathering a dragon army to take over all the evensong services in the world.

Bex, it's the Twitter Good Taste Filter kicking in.

(Twitter virgin indeed, mutter mutter...)

Well, I was hoping that it was just some kind of hacking/mistake issue to be honest, but 36 hours later my account's still in suspension! I was thinking about asking Mark Shaw for his advice as it happened to him too (his whole business is showing people how to use Twitter, which is partly what I want to do, so not happy about this, but we'll see!). and he got a campaign going online with people calling for his account to be un-suspended - it happened in about 24 hours for him!

Possible reasons: http://help.twitter.com/forums/26257/entries/18311, none of which seem to apply to me, unless someone has said what I'm doing is spam (I hope not!), and I know people who tweet far more times per hour than me (believe it or not!)! Pah, good taste... I realised on the train home that my tweets weren't appearing in the #digisymp feed and thought something might be wrong! I was planning on RT'ing a message from someone else saying "if my messages fill your stream, sign up to follow more people"...

I clearly am gathering that dragon army, I have an offline dragon already from Rupert (oh sorry, Daniel - he was having an identity crisis at the conference to start me off!)!!!

I hope it gets sorted soon.

I also have to say that this, along with Mark Brown's Facebook suspension, isn't helping to convince me that giving huge companies with their own agenda total control over my own content and ministry is what I most want to do.

How about a new hashtag? #freedrbexl

Oh yes please... :-) Been asking Mark Shaw for advice as he teaches Twitter and had the same thing happen to him!

The campaign has begun - perhaps we'll soon have a whole new "#freedrbexl" t-shirt?!

"140-4-Bex" (in style of: http://www.64forsuu.org/, which is far more serious of course, but in case some of you hadn't heard of it, thought it was a good link to make here!)... REALLY hope I'm back online before I need time to print a t-shirt!! Mark Shaw gave me the name of @delbius who works for Twitter support & has apparently been very helpful - I haven't heard anything back yet though...

Thanks Muriel, I'm still trying many different ways to get my account reactivated... people keep telling me it's a way to appreciate the offline world more, but I find it helps with the appreciation....
